Applied Ayurveda
Shantarasa is a yoga education provider for yoga instructors, students and health professionals, inspiring all aspects of life through the knowledge, meta-science and practice base of the Yogic Tradition born of the Vedic culture. Yoga offers so many powerful and effective means to health, mind and life transformation. Ayurveda is a science of life drawn from the same knowledge base. Yoga therapy will always draw upon the health balancing regimes of Ayurveda as does Ayurveda draw upon the methods of yoga to empower a person. Both complement each other with the skills and understandings to change body and mind while contemplating the essential purpose of existence.
Experience engaging and transformative learning with expert faculty and mentoring staff.
Who is the training for?
This training is for yoga instructors and students, as well as health professionals with an interest in Ayurvedic principles and practices for application in their own life and the lives of others. Individuals with a desire to bring Ayurvedic principals to the benefit of themselves and families may also apply.
Yoga and Ayurveda together create a return to exceptional wellbeing. Both life sciences draw their knowledge base from the same source within the Vedic tradition and its exceptional repository of documented wisdom derived from the Vedas. The Vedas are today recognized as one of the wonders of the world. They are not a physical structure but are instead a body of wisdom upon which to build an exceptional life based on the principle of ‘Rta’ (balance according to universal law).
Ayurveda describes an unequalled science of holistic living. Ayurveda seeks to awaken an innate intelligence that guides all aspects of our day to day living and choices. Ayurveda gives us a means to know and work with our unique constitutional elements as they govern our predispositions at the level of our body, the mind and consciousness. Equipped with this self-knowledge we can guide ourselves toward balance, wellbeing and life choices that better suit our intrinsic nature.
